Woman arrested in Tamil Nadu for murder of husband | Chennai News
MANGALURU: Police from Devadanapatti police station in Tamil Nadu arrested two people in connection with the gruesome murder of Mohammed Sameer, 35, a native of Bajpe.
The police team from Tamil Nadu arrested Sameer’s wife Firdouse and her associate Asif. Sources from police department have confirmed their arrest after a long hunt. They were produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody. The duo, who went absconding after the alleged murder of Sameer, was arrested near Hosur a few days ago.
Sameer, who was employed in Saudi Arabia, had arrived home in Bajpe on a vacation in August. Almost a month later, Sameer, his wife Firdouse, and their three-month-old daughter travelled to Bengaluru. Police said Firdouse herself booked the cab for their journey and the vehicle was none other than the one belonging to her alleged paramour Asif.
Five days later, Firdouse returned to her paternal house in Kaup along with her baby and told her family members that Sameer had broken ties with her as he had an extramarital affair. The next day, Firdouse, too, went missing. A few days later, Sameer’s body was found in Tamil Nadu. The murderers had damaged his face beyond recognition by pouring acid.
